What are the different transaction statuses and what do they mean?

Authorized: There are enough funds available to make a purchase successfully. The transaction has not yet settled, but, once the merchant reconciles their terminal, the transaction will be charged to your card.

Settled: The merchant has reconciled their terminal, and the charge has been made on the card. If there was any 20% tolerance tip fee that was added to the transaction and not an agreed upon charge (ex: 20% additional charge for renting an item, but no damages, no extra days…) the 20% has been removed, and only the agreed amount has been charged.

Declined: Transaction declines for various reasons. Contact support@biznowcard.com for details for why the transaction declined.

Reversed: The card is “checked” that it is active and there are funds available. The money moves on and off the card.
